SNHR

Government security forces forced all students living in the housing units allocated to Aleppo University to leave their residences, expelling them forcibly using arms and the threat of arrest. At least 250 students were documented as being arrested in this operation, while two were martyred and a number were injured. The presidency of the Aleppo University gave all students until 3:00 PM Damascus time to evacuate their rooms, with all the evicted students being left homeless on the streets, while the towns and villages of some of them are besieged, as is the case in the western suburbs of Idlib and the northern suburbs of Aleppo. There is a danger of travelling to this area at the current time as government forces have not withdrawn their heavy weapons.
