SNHR briefed the UN Working Group on Enforced or Involuntary disappearances, of the case of lieutenant Salah Al Din from Beiblan village in Aleppo governorate countryside, age 33 at the time, and asked to request of the Kurd Self-management forces to release him, as he was arrested arbitrarily from his residence in Al Shikh Maqsood neighborhood in Aleppo by Kurd Self-management forces in November 18, 2013, his family has no information regarding his fate or place of detention since then, as his fate remain unknown for the Syrian Network for Human Rights and his family as well.
Kurd Slef-management forces deny enforcing Lieut. Salah Al Din Ahmad to disappear, SNHR were unable to determine his fate until now, as is his family, and they are afraid of detention and torture in the event of repeating questions about him, as happened with many similar cases.
SNHR demanded the United Nations Committee on Enforced Disappearance to intervene with the Kurd Self-management forces for his immediate release, and the release of all the cases of enforced disappearances and the need to determine their fate.
