SNHR documented the killing of nine medics as follows:
The Syrian regime and its militias killed nine medics distributed as follows:
– Three doctors (including one doctor who was tortured to death. It was confirmed that doctors are subjected to a special more brutal torture inside the Syrian regime detention centers).
– Six medics (including two ladies and one medic who was tortured to death).
Details
1- Zyad Ar-Rahmoun, from Hama countryside – Kafrnabouda. Killed on 31 August, 2014 in Idlib countryside – Al-Hbie town by the Syrian regime warplanes. Dr. Zyad displaced along with his whole family to Al-Hbiet town previously.
2- Mahmoud An-Nazzal, doctor, from Ar-Raqqa. Died on 10 September, 2014 of wounds sustained by the Syrian regime warplanes when it targeted Ar-Raqqa on 4 September, 2014.
3- Nour Bakri Haj Khalil, female paramedic, from Aleppo, 17-year-old, worked at As-Sakhour hospital. Killed on 18 Setpember, 2014 in Aleppo city – Karm Al-Biek neighborhood by the Syrian regime warplanes that dropped barrel bombs on the neighborhood.
– On 18 September, 2014, the Syrian regime forces targeted an ambulance on the road connecting Kafrbatna and Hazza with mortal shells and rocket lunchers. The Ambulance was damaged severely and the following were killed:
4- Yoususf Mahmoud Hamza, paramedic, from Damascus countryside – Hamouriya.
5- Abdullatif Zinou, ambulance driver assistant, from Damascus countryside – Kafrbatna, married and had six kids.
6- Salim Mou’d, from Damascus – Al-Yarmouk camp, Palestinian. He was arrested by the Syrian regime. His family learned about his death on 22 September, 2014.
7- Rana Abdulala, nurse, from Damascus countryside – Hamouriya, worked at Al-Maktab At-Tebi hospital in Al-Marj area. Killed on 22 September, 2014 by the shelling of the Syrian regime warplanes.
8- Kamal Attya Dyab, nurse, from Hama – Al-Karim village. He was arrested more than a year ago. The authorities told his family about his death at a detention center in Damascus on 26 September, 2014.
9- Mohammad Fawwaz Al-Hariri, nurse, from Daraa – Alma town, 28-year-old, married, worked at a field-hospital. Killed on 30 September, 2014 by a shell that targeted As-Soura town in Daraa countryside.
