SNHR briefed the UN Working Group on Enforced or Involuntary disappearances, of the case of the citizen Mohammad Al Sagheir from Brazil street neighborhood in Homs city, age 29 at the time of his arrest, and asked to request of the Syrian authorities to release him as he was arrested arbitrarily at a checkpoint located on Al Nakhleh circle in Brazil street neighborhood in Homs city on 17 December 2012 by the members of the checkpoint who were in military outfits. Then, they took him to an unknown place. The members of the checkpoint are related to military security forces of government forces.
On 5 December 2015, he was seen in the Syrian newspapers Al Watan which published pictures of detainees where government forces claimed that their affairs are being settled ahead of release. Since then, his fate remains unknown for his family and the Syrian Network for Human Rights as well.
