The UK, France, Germany, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, and the Netherlands held a panel entitled: ‘Working Together to End Impunity in Syria’. The opening session started with addresses by representatives form those countries who made direct and explicit promises that violation perpetrators in Syria will not escape punishment. The representatives also stressed the importance of continuing the support for the path of justice and criminal accountability. We see, in this, a good and reassuring message to the Syrian people after the fathomless patterns of violations they’ve suffered, that those who carried out and gave the orders for those crimes will be held accountable. Certainly, the Syrian regime and its allies top the list by a vast margin.
