Female detainees in Adra prison start open hunger strike SNHR have fear of their fate

SHNR informed that the women in the department of deposit of Adra central prison in Damascus have decided, on 1 July 2013, to start an open hunger strike as a kind of peaceful protest as they were deposited for long period in the deposit department without summoning them to the court.

 
The detainees sent a letter to the chief of public prosecutor in the terrorism court to inform him about the necessity to consider their issues, especially that many of them are in critical conditions including patients and pregnant women live within bad health conditions.
