The report methodology relies on the investigation carried out by SNHR’s team in Damascus suburbs in cooperation with families and activists. The report includes two eyewitnesses’ accounts of village residents in addition to news and pictures that have been received by SNHR through cooperative activists from the city whose names were changed according their desires.
Souq Wadi Barada village is located on the outskirts of Al Dimas valley in Wadi Barada area on the northern side of the prophet Habeel Mountain and on the right bank of Barada River. It is 14 km west of the capital Damascus. It includes 50000 population of the IDPs from different Syrian areas.
