SNHR Invites You to Attend an Event Titled “Crimes Against Journalists in Yemen: Prospects for Transitional Justice and Reparations.”

The Syrian Network for Human Rights invites you to attend a webinar organized by the Media Freedom Observatory – Yemen, with the participation of a group of experts and specialists in transitional justice. The webinar will highlight the violations against journalists in Yemen and discuss ways to provide justice to victims and ensure non-repetition within the transitional justice process.

The webinar will include:

Analysis of the media landscape in Yemen and the requirements for its integration into the transitional justice process.

A review of documentation and accountability tools.

Testimonies from journalists who have suffered serious violations.

Comparative experiences from Tunisia and Syria on integrating journalists’ issues into transitional justice.

An open discussion and recommendations for drafting a policy paper.
