Citizen Badr Al Din Habib Enforced to Disappear since 2014

SNHR briefed the UN Working Group on Enforced or Involuntary disappearances, of the case of citizen Badr Al Din Habib from Bustan Al Qaser neighborhood in Aleppo city, age 46 at the time, and asked to request of the Syrian authorities to release him, as he was arrested arbitrarily at a government forces checkpoint in Al Ramosa in Aleppo city by members of the military security of the government forces in September 10, 2014, and he was then taken to an unknown destination, since then his fate remain unknown for his family and the Syrian Network for Human Rights as well.

Syrian authorities deny enforcing citizen Badr Al Din Habib to disappear, SNHR were unable to determine his fate until now, as is his family, and they are afraid of detention and torture in the event of repeating questions about him, as happened with many similar cases.
