Coinciding with the annual conference of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), and on the occasion of the International Day of Remembrance of All Victims of Chemical Warfare on November 30, 70 Syrian civil society organizations are presenting a set of recommendations to the Syrian government, the National Commission for Transitional Justice, and the States Parties to the OPCW, to ensure comprehensive accountability for the Assad regime’s chemical crimes, and a transitional justice approach that focuses on the rights and dignity of victims, survivors, and those who have survived.
